1316 Findlay Avenue

The design concept is based off of the premise of using the predominant neighborhood material of brick and fusing it with modern elements. A 5-story brick building, 60 feet tall, surrounded by 2-story buildings has no other choice but to “flex its muscles”. A dark brick moves the building from simply standing out to becoming the highlight of the block. Oversize windows with colored spandrel glass is incorporated to soften the façade and
make it more playful. The metal trim at the windows reemphasizes the sharpness and strong straight lines of the brick façade while serving its role as one of the buildings modern elements.
